Two Telangana Residents Killed in Bidar Road Accident

A tragic accident involving a Karnataka RTC bus and a motorcycle on the Zaheerabad Bidar highway claimed two lives from Telangana and left several bus passengers injured.

A fatal road accident in Bidar claimed the lives of two men from Telangana after a Karnataka RTC bus collided with a motorcycle and overturned on Tuesday.

The incident occurred on the Zaheerabad Bidar highway, creating panic among commuters travelling through the stretch. According to officials, the state transport bus reportedly lost balance after hitting the bike and later overturned on the roadside.

The victims riding the motorcycle died on the spot due to severe injuries sustained in the impact. Police identified them as Narsimhulu, aged 48, and Arun, aged 20, residents of Mirzapur B village in Telangana.

Passengers travelling in the bus also suffered injuries during the accident. At least ten people were hurt after the vehicle overturned following the collision. Emergency responders and local residents quickly reached the spot and helped rescue the injured passengers from the bus.

The injured were shifted to the government hospital in Bidar, where they are currently receiving treatment. Authorities said some passengers sustained minor injuries while others required medical observation.

Police have begun an investigation into the accident to determine the exact cause of the collision. Traffic movement on the highway was briefly affected as rescue teams cleared the damaged vehicle and restored normal movement on the road.

The incident once again raised concerns about road safety and speeding on highways connecting Telangana and Karnataka, especially on busy inter state routes frequently used by buses and heavy vehicles.
