Hyderabad: Telangana Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali said that the state police was the best in the country for maintaining law and order.
Speaking after inaugurating a new police station in Chevella town on Wednesday, he emphasized on the importance of a friendly police system besides peace and security for the people, and urged the police to be available to citizens in every district of the state and provide quality services.
Ali praised the efforts of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to ensure peace and security in the state, with many revolutionary measures being taken in this regard, including curbing cyber crimes. Chevella MP Ranjith Reddy praised the Telangana Police for successfully controlling crime through the installation of CCTV cameras,and said the state had the highest number of functioning of CCTVs in the country.
DGP Anjani Kumar stated that Telangana’s policing system was a role model for the country, with the state government allocating the highest amount of funds to the police department.
Chevella MLA Kale Yadayah, MLC P. Mahender Reddy, MLC Vanidevi, and others were also present at the event.
