Telangana Launches Farm App to Deliver Farm Machinery to Fields With a Click
Telangana agriculture department plans a Farm App, enabling farmers to book tractors, harvesters and drones instantly, reducing labour dependence, improving transparency, saving time and ensuring timely field operations across the state.

- Farm App helps Telangana farmers book farm machinery easily
- Farm App reduces labour shortage during peak farming seasons
- Farm App brings transparency and timely service to farmers
Telangana is preparing to roll out a new digital initiative aimed at making farming easier and faster. The state agriculture department has begun work on a dedicated Farm App that allows farmers to book tractors, harvesters and agricultural drones directly from their mobile phones.
Inspired by the success of earlier digital platforms in agriculture the government wants to reduce the burden on farmers during busy crop seasons. With machinery shortages becoming common, farmers often lose valuable time waiting for harvesters or tractors. The new system is designed to solve this problem efficiently.
Through the Farm App, farmers can check the availability of nearby machines select a preferred date and time and confirm bookings instantly. Once booked the machine owner details are shared and the equipment reaches the farm as scheduled to complete ploughing, sowing, spraying or harvesting work.
Officials say the app will reduce dependency on manual labour, which has become scarce in many villages. Faster mechanised operations will save time, cut costs and improve productivity. Drone services will also help farmers apply fertilisers and pesticides accurately, reducing wastage and protecting soil health.
Even farmers who are away from their fields can manage operations remotely using live tracking and status updates on the app. The agriculture department will monitor the platform continuously and provide local assistance to farmers unfamiliar with digital tools.
Once implemented fully this Farm App is expected to transform agricultural operations across Telangana making farming more efficient reliable and farmer friendly.
