A fire broke out at a car showroom service centre in Attapur, raising fresh concerns over safety standards in Hyderabad. The incident occurred around 1.30 am on Monday and resulted in three cars being completely gutted.

The blaze was reported at a Suzuki showroom service facility near pillar number 185 in the Attapur area. Flames reportedly started inside a scrap storage section and quickly spread, damaging vehicles parked nearby. At the time of the incident, nearly seventy cars were present inside the premises.

Fire and emergency services rushed to the spot after receiving alerts from local residents. Two fire engines were deployed, and firefighters managed to bring the situation under control before it escalated further. As a precaution, families living close to the showroom were temporarily evacuated.

Locals alleged that negligence by the showroom management may have caused the fire, pointing to improper storage of waste oil and batteries in one place. However, showroom officials claimed the fire may have been deliberate and suspected foul play.

Police have registered a case and are examining CCTV footage to determine the exact cause. The incident comes amid a series of recent fire accidents in Hyderabad, prompting citizens to demand stronger preventive measures ahead of the summer season.
