Hyderabad witnessed a tense morning on Tuesday after residents in several suburban areas reported earth tremors, triggering panic and confusion. The incident occurred around 10:10 am in parts of Medchal Malkajgiri district, with vibrations felt for a few seconds across nearby localities.

People in Gajularamaram, Metkan Guda and areas under the Quthbullapur circle said the ground shook suddenly, accompanied by a loud sound. Shocked by the unexpected movement, many residents rushed out of their houses, unsure of what was happening.

Household items reportedly shifted inside homes, while students and teachers in nearby schools said objects fell off desks during the brief tremor. As a precaution, some school managements announced temporary closures to ensure student safety.

CCTV footage from a gated community in Metkan Guda reportedly captured the moment of the tremor, further fueling concern among residents. Videos shared by locals on social media showed people standing outside buildings, visibly shaken by the experience.

So far, there have been no reports of injuries or property damage. However, officials are yet to confirm whether the incident was an earthquake or caused by construction activity or another source. Authorities have reached the affected areas to assess the situation and are expected to issue an official clarification.
