A horrifying incident of road rage has sent shockwaves across Hyderabad highlighting growing lawlessness on city roads. The disturbing episode took place within the limits of Kushaiguda police station leaving residents fearful and demanding accountability.
The victim Satish works at a private company and was returning home at night after finishing his duties. While driving through the area a Bolero vehicle fitted with sirens created chaos on the road by speeding recklessly. The vehicle rammed into Satish car and attempted to flee without stopping.
Determined to question the reckless driving Satish followed the Bolero for some distance and managed to stop it. He stepped out and stood in front of the vehicle asking why his car was hit. What followed was a chilling act of cruelty.
The youths inside the Bolero suddenly accelerated towards him. Satish fell to the ground and clutched the front bumper in a desperate attempt to save his life. Despite knowing a person was trapped under the vehicle the attackers showed no mercy and continued driving.
Satish was dragged for nearly seven hundred metres to one kilometre along the road. The friction caused severe injuries to his back while his leg was fractured and his private parts were critically damaged. Unable to bear the pain he eventually lost grip and the vehicle sped away.
Satish is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital where doctors say his condition remains critical. His family members have expressed anger over the lack of clarity from police regarding the identity of the accused.
They are questioning how a private vehicle was allowed to use sirens and whether the attackers were under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The family has also raised concerns about possible political backing and alleged attempts to shield the culprits.
The incident has intensified calls for stricter enforcement and swift action as citizens demand safety and justice on Hyderabad roads.
