  • Organic farming app to support farmers marketing.
  • Direct buyer farmer connection to boost income.
  • Label system to curb fake organic products.

The Telangana government has announced another positive step for farmers with plans to launch a new organic farming app in the coming days. The initiative is aimed at increasing farmers income while strengthening transparency and trust in organic produce markets.

This move follows the recent success of the urea booking app introduced by the Revanth Reddy government. Through that app farmers could book fertiliser directly on their phones saving time and avoiding long queues while also preventing illegal diversion. Currently active in select districts the urea app will be expanded statewide from the next Kharif season.

Building on this digital push the government is now preparing a dedicated organic farming app which is in the testing phase and expected to be launched soon. The platform is designed to promote organic agriculture by offering incentives guidance and better market visibility to farmers who follow organic practices.

Through the new app farmers can upload details about their crops cultivation area harvest timelines and available quantities. Information such as contact details photos and videos will also be accessible making it easier for buyers to connect directly with producers. This direct link is expected to help farmers secure better prices without intermediaries.

The app will also educate farmers on marketing strategies for organic produce and provide a verified database of organic cultivators across Telangana. Consumers looking for genuine organic products can use the platform to identify real producers and avoid misleading claims.

To tackle the growing issue of fake organic products in the market the government plans to introduce a labeling system alongside the app. Only registered farmers certified by the Telangana State Seed and Organic Certification Authority will be allowed to use the official organic label.

Officials believe this digital initiative will benefit both farmers and consumers by ensuring fair pricing authentic produce and a reliable organic supply chain while opening a new chapter for sustainable agriculture in Telangana.
