Hyderabad police have solved the murder of Rishabh Agarwal, a case that sent shockwaves through the Manghalhat area, after uncovering a motive rooted in a prison acquaintance that spiraled into deadly suspicion. Investigators say personal rivalry and mistrust formed the backbone of the crime.
According to police findings, Rishabh had earlier spent time at Cherlapally Jail, where he reportedly interacted with individuals who held old grudges against Munna Singh. After his release, Rishabh allegedly shared details of these associations, which raised doubts in Munna’s mind and gradually escalated into hostility.
Police revealed that Munna, along with other accused, planned the attack after suspecting Rishabh of siding with rival inmates. As part of the plan, Rishabh was lured to a Ganesh idol manufacturing unit in the Aramghar area, where he was brutally assaulted. The postmortem report confirmed that severe internal injuries led to his death at the spot.
The breakthrough came after investigators examined CCTV footage from the surrounding areas. Technical evidence including call data records and location tracking helped police identify the suspects. Five accused were arrested on February 27 by special teams, while three others remain on the run.
During the arrests, police seized three mobile phones and two Activa scooters allegedly used in connection with the crime. Forensic teams collected material evidence from the crime scene and sent it for further analysis to strengthen the case.
Officials stated that personal enmity was the primary motive behind the murder. Special teams have been formed to trace the remaining absconding accused, and police expressed confidence that they will be arrested soon. The investigation continues as authorities piece together events before and after the crime to ensure all those involved are brought to justice.
