Telangana minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has been stranded in Dubai after the local government temporarily suspended flight operations in the wake of security incidents near the airport. Authorities have confirmed that the minister is safe but unable to travel until normal clearances resume.

According to sources, the minister had travelled to Dubai five days ago after a family member fell ill and required medical treatment. While preparations were in place for his return, the sudden halt in flights disrupted travel plans, leaving several passengers, including the minister, unable to depart.

Officials said the Dubai administration cancelled all flights as a precautionary measure following reports of attacks near the airport area. As a result, airport operations remain restricted, and departures are being allowed only after thorough security reviews.

Despite the uncertainty, people close to the minister stated that he is staying in a secure location and is in constant touch with authorities. He is expected to return to India once airport clearances are restored and flight services resume.
