The case surfaced after a BTech student approached Bachupally police with a detailed complaint, alleging that two fellow students subjected her to sexual assault and harassment over an extended period. According to the complaint, one of the accused was known to her and allegedly used trust and emotional manipulation to exploit her.
The survivor stated that the abuse began nearly a year ago and continued under threats and intimidation. She alleged that private photos and videos were secretly recorded and later used to blackmail her into silence. The second accused was also named for misbehaviour and involvement in the incidents.
The victim and her parents claimed they initially approached the college management seeking help but received no response. Left with no option, the family filed a formal police complaint. An FIR was registered on February 28, and the matter is now under investigation.
