Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has announced key measures aimed at strengthening the policing system in the state. During a police officers retreat he outlined plans to establish one police station for every mandal in order to reduce workload and improve law and order management.

The Chief Minister said the government is working on introducing a three layer police system that will ensure better distribution of responsibilities among police units. According to him this step will help reduce the pressure currently faced by police personnel.

Revanth Reddy emphasized that maintaining strong law and order is essential for the state development goals. He stated that Telangana aims to become a one trillion dollar economy by the year 2034 and a stable security environment will play a major role in attracting investments.

The Chief Minister also pointed out that the nature of crime has changed significantly in recent years. Cyber crime has increased rapidly compared to traditional physical crimes which makes it necessary for police officers to upgrade their technical knowledge.

Special attention should be given to cyber crime traffic management and public safety particularly in metropolitan areas like Hyderabad. He said modern challenges require a police force that is technologically skilled and capable of handling digital evidence.

Revanth Reddy further noted that Hyderabad should continue to develop as a major investment destination by improving infrastructure and maintaining efficient law enforcement. He urged the police department to remain alert and responsive during emergencies to support the public.

The government is also preparing proposals to recruit additional police personnel based on population needs so that the workload on existing officers can be reduced.

The Chief Minister assured that the government will follow transparent policies in police welfare and postings. He said assignments will be given strictly on merit and category rather than through recommendations.

Revanth Reddy also encouraged senior police officers to interact regularly with their junior staff and understand their concerns. According to him such communication can lead to positive changes within the department.

He added that the government will allocate adequate funds in the budget to modernize the police department and further strengthen the policing system in Telangana.
