A disturbing crime in Warangal city has left residents shocked after a woman died following an alleged attack by her husband during a domestic dispute. The incident occurred in SR Nagar area of the city Fourteenth division.
The victim has been identified as Anita aged forty while the accused is her husband Raj. According to initial reports the argument between the couple began soon after Anita returned home after attending a relative funeral ritual.
During the heated exchange Raj reportedly became extremely angry and picked up a heavy grinding stone from inside the house. In a sudden act of violence he allegedly struck Anita on the head.
The blow caused severe injuries and Anita collapsed immediately with heavy bleeding. Local residents who noticed the situation rushed to the house and tried to help the injured woman.
She was quickly shifted to MGM Hospital in Warangal for emergency treatment. Doctors made efforts to save her life but the head injury was extremely serious.
Despite medical treatment Anita died at the hospital which deepened the shock among family members and neighbors in the locality.
Police have registered a case regarding the Warangal crime and started a detailed investigation into the incident. Authorities are examining the circumstances that led to the domestic dispute and the fatal attack.
