Hyderabad is preparing to add another iconic structure to its growing skyline with plans for a second cable bridge in the city. After the success and popularity of the Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge the new project is expected to become another major landmark for residents and visitors.
Officials are planning to construct the Hyderabad cable bridge across Mir Alam Tank linking Chintalmet Road with National Highway 44. The bridge will stretch approximately 2.65 kilometers and will be built with a width of about 22.2 meters. Entry and exit ramps are expected to be developed near Mir Mahmood Pahadi and the Kings Colony Shastripuram road areas improving accessibility for commuters.
The Hyderabad cable bridge project had been pending for a long time but authorities have now moved forward with preparations for the foundation ceremony. Once completed the structure is expected to stand as one of the largest bridges in the city while also enhancing connectivity in the southern parts of Hyderabad.
The bridge will be designed as a four lane structure making travel easier for thousands of daily commuters. By linking important routes the Hyderabad cable bridge will help reduce traffic congestion and provide smoother movement between key roads. Urban planners also believe the area around Mir Alam Tank could develop into a recreational and tourism destination after the bridge is completed.
The Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge near Madhapur currently remains one of the most popular attractions in Hyderabad. It connects Jubilee Hills with the Financial District and has significantly reduced travel time between the two locations. With the new Hyderabad cable bridge project the city is expected to gain another modern infrastructure landmark that improves mobility while also adding visual appeal to the urban landscape.
