- Hyderabad new flyover planned to reduce traffic congestion in key areas.
- ICCC to PVNR Expressway flyover expected to improve Hyderabad connectivity.
- Hyderabad commuters may get faster airport travel through the new flyover.
Hyderabad commuters may soon experience smoother travel as authorities prepare plans for another major flyover in the city. The Telangana government along with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is working on a project aimed at reducing traffic congestion across several busy routes.
Officials are planning to construct a new flyover that will connect the Integrated Central Command Control Centre in Banjara Hills with the PVNR Expressway near Rethibowli junction. The proposed structure is expected to pass through important areas including Film Nagar Apollo Hospital and the Malkam Cheruvu road corridor before extending towards Tolichowki and Nanal Nagar.
The initiative is part of the government broader strategy to address the growing traffic challenges in Hyderabad. Rapid urban expansion and rising vehicle numbers have increased pressure on many central roads making new infrastructure projects necessary.
According to officials the flyover could significantly improve connectivity between the western parts of the city and the airport corridor. Once completed commuters traveling from areas such as Banjara Hills Jubilee Hills and the KBR Park surroundings may reach the airport faster without facing multiple traffic signals.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has reportedly begun preliminary work for the project and is preparing to develop a detailed project report. After finalizing the report the next stage will include approvals and planning for construction.
Urban planners believe the new flyover could transform traffic movement in Hyderabad western zone. The city has already started work on several infrastructure improvements including underpasses and steel flyovers around the KBR Park area to ease congestion.
Authorities say seven underpasses and seven steel flyovers are already being developed around the KBR Park corridor. The addition of the proposed ICCC to Rethibowli flyover could further strengthen the traffic network and improve road connectivity across key routes.
Residents and commuters who frequently travel through these areas have welcomed the proposal. Many believe that faster routes and signal free corridors will reduce travel time and make daily commuting more convenient.
If implemented successfully the new Hyderabad flyover could become another significant step in the city effort to modernize its road infrastructure and manage the increasing traffic load in rapidly growing urban zones.
