The postal department has introduced a major upgrade to its services with the launch of Postal 24 Speed Post, promising next day delivery for parcels booked across key cities. The new service has been rolled out starting March 17, aiming to significantly improve delivery speed and customer experience.

In the first phase, the service is being introduced in major urban centres including Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and Bengaluru. Officials stated that the initiative is part of efforts to strengthen premium express services and meet the growing demand for faster parcel movement.

Under this new system, customers can expect their parcels to be delivered the very next day after booking. The service includes end to end tracking with SMS alerts, ensuring better transparency and security during transit. Additional features such as secure delivery systems and improved logistics support have also been integrated.

For business users, the department has introduced flexible options including book now pay later services, centralized billing, and API integration. Bulk customers can also benefit from free pickup services, making it easier for enterprises to manage large volume shipments efficiently.

The department has also assured compensation in case of delivery delays, reinforcing its commitment to reliability. Officials indicated that more cities will be covered under this service in the coming months as part of phased expansion.

Alongside this, the Telangana Postal Circle has already been offering a parcel discount scheme for students. Under this initiative, students receive a ten percent discount on Speed Post and retail parcel bookings without GST on postage charges.

The discount is available across thousands of post offices in Telangana and applies to sending educational materials such as books, stationery, exam papers, and project submissions. Students must present a valid identity card to avail of the benefit, and the scheme is applicable to both government and private educational institutions.

With faster delivery, enhanced features, and added benefits, the Postal 24 Speed Post service marks a significant step forward in modernizing postal operations and improving convenience for both individuals and businesses.
