A brief spell of relief is expected across parts of Telangana as the weather department has issued a fresh rain alert for several districts. Light showers accompanied by thunder and gusty winds are likely over the next 24 hours, particularly in the southern regions of the state.
According to officials, changing atmospheric conditions including surface circulation and cloud formations are contributing to this shift in weather. Moderate rainfall is expected in a few districts, while lightning and strong winds may accompany these showers, prompting authorities to advise caution.
Several districts including Jagityal, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Siddipet and Sirisilla have been placed under alert, with forecasts indicating wind speeds could reach up to 60 kilometers per hour during rainfall. Residents in these areas have been advised to stay alert during storm activity.
While these showers are expected to bring temporary relief from rising temperatures, officials clarified that the rainfall will mostly be light and short lived. Other parts of the state are likely to witness normal weather conditions during this period.
In Hyderabad, temperatures are expected to remain between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius during the day, with humidity levels making afternoons feel warmer. However, nights and early mornings may remain relatively cool, with temperatures dropping to around 20 degrees Celsius.
Meteorologists have also warned that this cooling phase will be short. After the next couple of days, temperatures are likely to rise sharply, marking the return of intense summer heat. Heat wave conditions are expected to develop during April and May, and people have been advised to take necessary precautions.
Although early summer heat had already begun in February, recent untimely rains in March brought some respite. With the latest forecast, the state is set to experience another brief weather shift before the full force of summer returns.
