Telangana is experiencing an intense heatwave with temperatures soaring across several districts, creating difficult conditions for people and increasing concern among health officials. The continuing rise in temperature has forced many residents to avoid stepping outdoors during peak daytime hours.
The impact of the heatwave has become more serious in recent days as several districts recorded extremely high temperatures. Weather observers reported that Dahagam in Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district registered the highest temperature at 46.5 degrees Celsius, while multiple locations across the state crossed the 45 degree mark.
Regions including Mancherial, Suryapet, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Mulugu and other districts witnessed unusually high temperatures, turning normal daytime conditions into severe heat zones. The combination of intense sunlight and hot winds has made daily life difficult for many people.
Authorities expressed concern after reports indicated a rise in heat related deaths across the state. According to available information, a large number of fatalities linked to heat exposure were reported from several districts, with the highest numbers coming from the Warangal region.
Despite isolated rainfall predictions for a few areas in southern Telangana, officials stated that any temporary relief may remain limited. Weather experts expect similar heat conditions to continue over the coming days before temperatures begin to show signs of easing.
Medical experts are advising people to stay indoors during afternoon hours whenever possible, drink enough water and maintain proper hydration levels. Citizens have also been urged to avoid unnecessary travel under direct sunlight and take preventive measures to protect themselves from heat related health risks.
