Amid growing criticism and viral trolling, Hyderabad based gold man Surya Bhai has finally spoken out, firmly denying allegations that his jewellery collection is made of rolled gold. He described the claims as a deliberate attempt to damage his reputation.
The controversy began after income tax officials examined his ornaments and reportedly found that the jewellery he wore was not solid gold but gold coated over copper. Authorities stated that around 32 sets of ornaments were tested and their total value was estimated to be only around three lakh rupees.
Surya Bhai, who gained popularity on social media for wearing kilograms of gold and showcasing a lavish lifestyle, became widely known after his visit to Tirumala temple where many devotees gathered to take photos with him. His public image as a wealthy personality further fueled attention around the case.
Reacting strongly, Surya Bhai questioned how others could judge his jewellery as fake without proof. He said the recent trolling started only after he designed a unique ornament featuring sacred symbols, claiming that some people could not tolerate his growing recognition.
He also alleged that a group of individuals is intentionally spreading false narratives out of jealousy. According to him, he has not committed any crime, nor has he cheated anyone or accumulated illegal wealth. He stressed that he built his life through hard work without relying on inherited assets.
Officials, however, revealed that their investigation was supported by data obtained from another individual caught earlier, which led them to examine Surya Bhai’s case. They also noted that he does not own major assets and currently lives in a rented house.
Despite the findings, Surya Bhai remains defiant. He stated that he is ready to face any inquiry and even leave the country if proven guilty. Emphasizing his journey from humble beginnings, he said he understands the value of money and continues to live honestly.
As debates continue online, the incident highlights how quickly public perception can shift, especially when social media fame collides with official scrutiny.
