NEET 2026 Exam Today Across India with Over 22 Lakh Students Set to Appear

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET 2026 is being held today across the country, marking a crucial day for lakhs of students aspiring to pursue medical education. Conducted by the National Testing Agency, the exam will take place from 2 pm to 5 pm in multiple locations across India and select international centers.

This year, more than 22.79 lakh candidates have registered for the examination, reflecting intense competition for medical seats nationwide. The test is being organized in 552 cities across India along with 14 cities outside the country, ensuring wider accessibility for applicants.

In Andhra Pradesh alone, around 70000 students are expected to appear for the exam. Authorities have set up nearly 150 examination centers across 28 towns in the state to manage the large number of candidates efficiently.

Officials have advised students to reach their respective exam centers at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time to avoid last minute issues. With forecasts indicating possible rainfall in some regions on Sunday, candidates have been urged to plan their travel accordingly and carry necessary arrangements.
