A tragic road accident in Sangareddy district late on Monday night resulted in the death of two people, while three others sustained injuries. The incident has once again raised concerns over road safety on bypass stretches.

According to police officials, the group was travelling towards their home in Chevella when the accident occurred. Soon after reaching the bypass road at Zaheerabad, the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, leading to a high impact collision with a stationary lorry parked along the roadside.

The force of the crash was severe, killing two passengers on the spot. The remaining three occupants suffered injuries and were immediately shifted to a nearby government hospital in Zaheerabad. Doctors have placed them under observation and are monitoring their condition.

Police have begun an investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause of the loss of control. Preliminary findings suggest overspeeding or lack of visibility could have contributed to the accident.
