Rising temperatures across Telangana have prompted the state government to strengthen precautionary measures and prepare health services to protect people from severe heat conditions.

The Telangana government has stepped up precautionary measures as intense heat conditions continue to affect several parts of the state. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reviewed the situation and directed officials to stay prepared to handle the impact of rising temperatures, especially in districts expected to witness severe heat.

Authorities have been asked to closely monitor conditions in northern Telangana where higher temperatures are likely to create additional challenges. Officials have been instructed to ensure uninterrupted drinking water availability and maintain proper power supply arrangements to avoid public inconvenience.

The government has also focused on strengthening health preparedness across the state. Medical staff at primary health centers and district hospitals have been directed to remain alert and provide immediate treatment to people suffering from heat related illness.

Officials have additionally been asked to keep adequate stocks of ORS packets ready to support people affected by dehydration and heat stress. Arrangements are also expected to be made for public cooling facilities in urban areas to help residents cope with extreme temperatures.

The Chief Minister advised people to take extra care and avoid unnecessary outdoor movement during peak afternoon hours. Citizens have also been urged to stay hydrated and follow safety precautions as weather conditions remain challenging.

Senior officials have been instructed to regularly assess district level conditions and continue coordination with local authorities to ensure a quick response wherever necessary.
