A shocking incident in Hyderabad’s Vanasthalipuram area has left residents disturbed after a family dispute reportedly ended in a fatal attack. Police have launched an investigation into the case and have taken several individuals into custody for questioning.
According to preliminary information, the victim identified as Venkatesh had married Swapna in 2015 following a love marriage. The couple initially lived a stable life and later had two children. However, family members said differences gradually developed between them, leading to frequent disputes in recent years.
Reports suggest that Venkatesh had been staying separately in SR Nagar due to ongoing marital issues. On Tuesday night, he allegedly visited Vanasthalipuram and demanded that he be allowed to meet his children. The situation reportedly became tense and soon turned into a heated argument involving family members.
During the confrontation, a physical altercation allegedly broke out between Venkatesh, his wife and her younger brother. Investigators suspect that the dispute suddenly escalated and Venkatesh suffered severe injuries during the incident.
Local residents later noticed suspicious activity while the body was being moved from the seventh floor and alerted police officials. Soon after receiving information, officers reached the location and began an investigation.
Police have reportedly taken the victim’s wife Swapna, her brother Pandu and another individual identified as Jagadeesh into custody for questioning. The body was shifted to Osmania Hospital for postmortem examination while officials continue to examine all angles connected to the incident.
