Farmers across the united Medak region faced fresh concerns after unexpected rainfall and strong winds affected several districts and caused damage to crops and public property. The sudden weather activity brought disruptions in Sangareddy, Siddipet and Medak districts, leaving many residents and farmers worried.
The impact was especially visible in agricultural areas where harvested paddy was exposed to rainwater. Farmers rushed to protect their produce as wet grain stocks created fears of financial losses. Market yards also witnessed difficult situations as growers struggled to save their harvest from further damage.
Several locations reported varying rainfall levels during the weather event. Watpally in Sangareddy district recorded heavy rainfall while Begampet in Rayapole mandal of Siddipet district and Chegunta in Medak district also received rainfall during the spell.
Apart from crop losses, strong winds reportedly caused damage to homes and public infrastructure in some villages. In parts of Medak district, roof structures were affected while household belongings were scattered due to powerful gusts. Paddy stored in some locations also suffered damage after exposure to rain.
Road movement was also affected after large trees collapsed in a few areas. In Sangareddy district, rainwater entered residential areas causing inconvenience to residents. Local authorities advised people to remain cautious during thunderstorms and avoid standing near trees, old buildings and electric installations.
Officials also urged citizens to stay indoors during intense weather conditions unless travel becomes necessary. Farmers are now hoping for stable weather conditions as they assess the extent of crop losses caused by the unexpected rains.
