The South India times Nizamabad: The Freedom Rally held in Nizamabad district center on Saturday as part of India’s independent diamond celebrations went on with great enthusiasm. The rally started from Nehru park Square and proceeded to Collectorate via Gandhi Chowk, Rashtrapati Road, and Bus Stand. A special attraction of the rally was the display of a 750-meter-long national flag specially designed by the district administration to mark the 75 years of Independence celebrations. A large number of people from all sections of the district participated in the rally with great enthusiasm, displaying the tricolor flag. Everyone from children to old people took part in the rally and participated in the Vajrotsava celebrations showing their sense of nationalism.
Everywhere you looked, the city was buzzing with a festive atmosphere. On this occasion, the authorities have taken every step to ensure that the flag code is implemented perfectly without any disturbance to the respect of the national flag. State Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashant Reddy was the chief guest and started the Freedom Rally and participated in the Asantham performance with everyone. Zilla Parishad Chairman Dadannagari Vithal Rao, Legislative Council Member Rajeshwar, Collector C. Narayana Reddy, Police C commissioner K.R . Nagaraju, City Mayor Dandu Neetu Kiran, Additional Collectors Chandrasekhar, Chitramishra, Nuda Chairman Prabhakar Reddy, District Olympic Association President Gadila Ramulu and others all participated in the rally. Along with them, officers of all departments, public representatives, police, NCC, NSS cadets, seventh police battalion staff, students of government and private schools and colleges, doctors, nursing students, officials of sports associations, representatives of voluntary organizations, and army officers. Holding a huge 750 feet long tricolor flag, they participated in the rally chanting patriotic slogans and dancing.
The main road was jammed with rally attendees. In any case, the fluttering flags of Muvvannela were flying proudly. People reached the top of commercial complexes and residential buildings to watch the Freedom Rally with the 750-meter national flag. Balloons of three colors were floated in the air at the collectorate ground. Cultural artists sang patriotic songs. Minister Prashanth Reddy, who was present as the chief guest for the Freedom Rally, said that many warriors sacrificed their lives for the freedom of India, which was held captive by the British colonial rulers offering.
