He said that the number of mandapams in the town should be identified and the places where there are no potholes near each mandapam should be filled with mud or gravel Similarly, he said that lighting should be installed in the main intersections of the town and in the precincts where immersion takes place.
Barricades and cranes should be set up in advance where immersion takes place, and sanitation staff and work inspectors should take responsibility to ensure that children do not get into the water. She said that people should take care not to let too many people climb on the rafts, and also keep live jackets available.
Sanitation should be taken care of on the roads and any trees blocking the road should be removed. He said that all the departments should work in coordination with the council members and if there is any problem they should bring it to their attention.
