- Students receive free bus travel for 10th class exams.
- QR code hall tickets help locate exam centres easily.
The Andhra Pradesh government has introduced several student friendly measures ahead of the upcoming 10th class public examinations. The exams are scheduled to begin on March sixteen across the state with authorities making special arrangements to ensure smooth conduct.
More than six lakh forty thousand students are expected to appear for the examinations this year. To manage the large number of candidates the education department has set up three thousand four hundred fifteen examination centres across the state.
In a move aimed at reducing stress among students the government has decided to relax the strict minute rule that was followed in previous years. Under the new decision students who arrive late will be allowed to enter the examination hall up to thirty minutes after the exam begins.
Officials explained that the examination will start at nine thirty in the morning while students will be allowed into the centres from eight thirty onwards. The relaxation is expected to help those who face unavoidable delays while travelling to their exam centres.
To help students easily locate their examination venues the government has introduced QR codes on hall tickets this year. By scanning the QR code with a mobile phone students can directly view the exact location of their exam centre through digital maps which will reduce confusion particularly in urban areas.
The state government has also announced free bus travel for students appearing for the exams. Students can travel to and from their examination centres in APSRTC buses by simply showing their hall ticket during the examination period.
Authorities said the initiative will reduce financial pressure on families and ensure that no student misses the examination due to transportation issues.
Apart from conducting the exams the education department has also prepared a transparent and efficient evaluation process. The answer sheet evaluation will begin on April four and continue until April thirteen at special centres set up across twenty six districts.
To improve accuracy and avoid errors in mark entry officials are introducing a new digital method where marks will be recorded using tablets. This step is expected to streamline the evaluation process and reduce manual mistakes.
The government has also fixed a limit for teachers involved in the evaluation process. Each teacher will evaluate only forty answer sheets per day to ensure proper assessment and maintain quality standards.
Education officials believe these new measures including minute rule relaxation QR code hall tickets and free bus travel will help create a stress free environment for students appearing for the important 10th class examinations.
