Bengaluru Former Rowdy Sheeter Arrested in Businessman Kidnap Case
City Crime Branch police arrested former rowdy sheeter Yashaswini Gowda for allegedly aiding a businessman kidnap plot and obstructing officers during investigation as part of an organized crime crackdown

Bengaluru: The City Crime Branch has taken former rowdy sheeter Yashaswini Gowda into custody in connection with the kidnapping of a real estate businessman, tightening its grip on what officers describe as an organized crime network operating around Bengaluru.
Investigators said Gowda’s name surfaced during the probe into the abduction of Manoj, a property dealer who was allegedly picked up by a group of miscreants and later pressured for money. Police believe she played a supporting role in the incident and later tried to interfere with official duties when officers moved in to make arrests.
The kidnapping took place on the evening of September 26 near Modi Hospital Road in the Mahalakshmi Layout police limits. Manoj was reportedly surrounded and taken away by the group, triggering panic among his associates and leading to an immediate police complaint.
During the investigation, officers also found the involvement of another known offender, Bakery Raghu, who was recently arrested in Mandya. When police attempted to detain suspects in that operation, Gowda allegedly obstructed the team, which resulted in a separate case being filed against her at the Mandya Rural police station.
Sources said the accused has been booked under stringent organized crime provisions. Police maintained that they will continue tracking individuals with a history of rowdy activities and warned that any attempt to disrupt law enforcement action will be dealt with firmly.
The case also revealed that Manoj had been under financial stress related to a loan dispute involving an acquaintance, which investigators suspect may have added to the chain of events that led to the abduction. Police are examining all angles as the probe continues.
