A tragic incident in Bengaluru shocked residents after an engineer died by suicide inside his apartment and his wife jumped from the high rise building shortly after.

Shocking incident reported in Bengaluru apartment
A tragic incident in Bengaluru has left residents shocked after a young couple working as software engineers died in a suspected suicide case. The incident occurred in a residential complex located on Thanisandra Main Road within the limits of the Kothanur police station.
The couple identified as Bhanu Chander Reddy also known as Babu Reddy and his wife Shazia were originally residents of Telangana. Both were working in private companies as software engineers and had recently moved to Bengaluru.
Husband found dead inside apartment
According to preliminary information Bhanu had locked himself inside the bedroom of their apartment. When he did not respond to repeated phone calls and did not open the door his wife grew concerned and alerted the building security staff early in the morning.
Around 7.30 am security personnel forced open the bedroom door and discovered Bhanu hanging from the ceiling fan. The discovery left everyone in shock and authorities were immediately informed.
Wife jumps from apartment building
Within about twenty minutes of discovering her husband death Shazia reportedly jumped from the upper floor of the apartment building. Witnesses said she fell from the eighteenth floor of the residential tower.
Police believe the sudden emotional shock after seeing her husband dead may have led to the extreme step. The tragic sequence of events has deeply disturbed residents of the housing complex.
Police begin investigation
Police reached the location soon after receiving information and took both bodies into custody for further investigation. During the initial examination officers recovered a suicide note believed to have been written by Bhanu before his death.
The note reportedly mentioned that he had been dealing with multiple personal pressures including health issues and anxiety related to unemployment.
Background of the couple
Bhanu had previously worked in the United States with an annual salary reportedly around eighty lakh rupees. However he lost his job last year during layoffs linked to the rapid growth of artificial intelligence technologies.
While Bhanu had been facing career uncertainty his wife Shazia had recently secured a job with a major technology company.
The couple had moved to Bengaluru about eight months ago and had been married for around two and a half years. Police are continuing their investigation to understand all circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
