The tragedy occurred in HM Matha Koppalu village of HD Kote taluk, sending shockwaves through the local community.
The deceased have been identified as Hemalatha, aged 38, and her two children Anu, 15, and Chetan, 13. According to preliminary information, the three were found hanging inside their residence, indicating a case of suicide linked to domestic conflict.
Residents alerted authorities after noticing unusual circumstances at the house. Police from the Periyapatna station reached the spot, confirmed the deaths, and secured the area for further examination. The bodies were later shifted for post mortem procedures.
