Illicit Relationship Turns Fatal in Karnataka Chikkaballapur, Two Lives Lost
A relationship dispute ended in tragedy in Chikkaballapur after a married man allegedly killed a woman he was involved with and later died by suicide, shocking both families and residents.

Karnataka: A disturbing incident linked to an illicit relationship has shaken Chikkaballapur, where two people lost their lives within hours. What began as a long standing personal dispute reportedly escalated into violence, leaving families and locals in shock.
According to police sources, the accused was a married man originally from Andhra Pradesh who had been living in Chintamani with his wife and two children. Over time, he developed a relationship with Salma, a resident of Garigireddipalya in Chelur taluk, who was also a mother of two.
The relationship had allegedly caused tension between the two families earlier as well, and disagreements had surfaced multiple times. On the day of the incident, the man reportedly went to Salma’s house, where an argument broke out once again. During the confrontation, he allegedly attacked her with a knife, causing fatal injuries.
After the incident, the man is said to have returned to his residence, where he later took his own life. The sequence of events came to light only after both incidents were reported to the police.
Chelur police rushed to both locations and conducted preliminary inspections. A detailed investigation is underway to understand the circumstances that led to the tragic outcome. Authorities have stated that further action will be taken based on the findings of the inquiry.
