KSRTC Bus Catches Fire in Bengaluru Passengers Escape Safely
A KSRTC bus heading to Shivamogga caught fire near Rajajinagar in Bengaluru late at night but all passengers managed to escape safely after the driver stopped the vehicle immediately.

A KSRTC bus traveling from Bengaluru to Shivamogga was completely damaged after it caught fire near Rajajinagar. The incident occurred close to Lulu Mall late on Thursday night while the vehicle was on its route.
The bus had left Kempegowda Bus Station in Majestic shortly before the incident. As the vehicle approached the Rajajinagar area, flames were noticed near the engine section.
Alert From Biker Helped Prevent Tragedy
According to officials, a motorcyclist riding behind the bus spotted flames coming from underneath the engine. He quickly alerted the driver about the fire.
Acting immediately, the driver stopped the vehicle and ensured that all passengers got down safely. A total of 21 passengers were inside the bus at the time and everyone managed to escape without injuries. Within minutes the fire spread rapidly and engulfed the entire bus.
Firefighters Douse Flames Investigation Underway
Fire and emergency service personnel from Rajajinagar rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident. They managed to bring the fire under control after intensive efforts.
Police suspect the fire may have been triggered either by diesel leakage or an electrical short circuit. Officials said the driver and conductor acted quickly to evacuate passengers, preventing a possible tragedy.
KSRTC authorities later arranged alternative transport for the passengers so they could continue their journey to Shivamogga.
