Three Killed After Goods Auto Crashes Into Parked Eicher Vehicle on Bengaluru Bridge
A late night road accident in Bengaluru claimed three lives when a goods auto rammed into a stationary Eicher vehicle on Medahalli bridge after the truck stopped due to tyre blast.
A tragic late night road accident in Bengaluru resulted in the deaths of three people after a goods auto crashed into a stationary Eicher vehicle on the Medahalli bridge along Old Madras Road.
The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the KR Puram traffic police station. According to preliminary information the Eicher vehicle had been parked on the side of the bridge after suffering a tyre burst while traveling toward the city.
The truck was reportedly transporting a load of potatoes from Kolar to Bengaluru when the tyre suddenly burst on the Medahalli flyover. The driver had pulled the vehicle over to the roadside and had begun changing the damaged tyre.
During this time a goods auto approaching from behind collided with the stationary truck. The impact of the crash was severe and caused fatal injuries to the passengers traveling in the goods auto.
The victims have been identified as Manikantha Suresh and Srinivas who were reportedly residents of the Whitefield area. All three men died at the scene due to the intensity of the collision.
Police officials said the accident occurred in the early hours when traffic was relatively light but visibility and speed may have played a role in the crash. Authorities are examining the exact circumstances that led to the collision.
Senior police officials including the Deputy Commissioner of Police visited the accident site along with traffic officers from the KR Puram division to assess the situation and gather details about the incident.
Following the accident the bodies of the deceased were shifted to the KR Puram government hospital for further procedures. Police have initiated an investigation to determine the precise cause of the crash and whether negligence or overspeeding was involved.
