The quiet life of a family in Nelamangala was shattered when 48 year old Raju entered the bathroom to take a shower. While inside a malfunction in the gas geyser led to a lethal carbon monoxide leak. Trapped in the confined space the victim struggled for breath but eventually succumbed to asphyxiation. Bank Employee Ends Life Before Reaching Home
The news of the accident was delivered to Raju’s wife 42 year old Meena while she was at her workplace in a Bengaluru bank. Overwhelmed by the sudden loss of her partner Meena reportedly rushed toward their residence in Jakkasandra. However the weight of the grief proved unbearable. In a tragic turn of events she chose to end her life by hanging from a tree near an under construction house owned by the family before she even reached home to see her husband one last time.

Local authorities recovered a death note at the scene which paints a picture of a woman who could not fathom a life without her spouse. In her final writing Meena expressed that she could not live even for a minute in his absence. She requested forgiveness from her family and provided specific instructions regarding the settlement of their pending dues and responsibilities. The couple originally from Kunigal in Tumakuru had moved to Nelamangala for work and to provide a better future for their son. The Madanayakanahalli police have officially registered a case and initiated a thorough investigation into the circumstances. Following the mandatory post mortem examinations the bodies were handed over to the grieving relatives.
