A woman was brutally murdered by her younger brother in Suryapet district after a long running land dispute between the siblings reportedly turned violent despite earlier police intervention.

A shocking family dispute turned tragic in Telangana’s Suryapet district after a man allegedly killed his elder sister over an ongoing land related conflict. The incident took place in Tummalapenpahad village under the limits of Atmakur police station and has left local residents deeply disturbed.

According to police officials, the accused identified as Saidulu had been involved in repeated arguments with his sister Anjamma regarding ownership of family land. The dispute had reportedly been continuing for quite some time and had earlier reached the police station, where both sides were warned and placed under preventive monitoring.

Despite earlier counseling and police intervention, tensions between the siblings reportedly continued to rise. Investigators believe the accused planned the attack believing that removing his sister would help him gain complete control over the disputed property.

On the day of the incident, Anjamma was reportedly on her way to work when Saidulu attacked her with a knife. Police said the assault was severe and she died on the spot due to multiple injuries. The brutal nature of the attack shocked villagers and triggered panic in the area.

After receiving information, police teams rushed to the village and inspected the crime scene. A murder case has been registered and officers have started a detailed investigation into the circumstances behind the killing.

The incident has once again highlighted how unresolved property disputes within families are increasingly leading to violent crimes in rural areas. Local residents expressed sadness over the tragic end to what was once a family relationship destroyed by conflict over land.
