  • Light rainfall expected in parts of Andhra Pradesh

The intensity of summer heat has increased rapidly across Telangana, forcing weather officials to issue warnings for several districts expected to experience strong heatwave conditions in the coming days. Authorities said dry weather is likely to continue across most parts of the state, especially in northern Telangana regions where temperatures are climbing steadily.

Districts including Adilabad, Nizamabad, and Jagtial are expected to face severe hot winds during afternoon hours. Similar weather conditions are likely in Sirisilla, Nirmal, and Mancherial districts, prompting the Meteorological Department to issue a yellow alert for these areas. Officials advised people to avoid unnecessary travel during peak daytime hours and remain cautious while stepping outdoors.

Health experts have also warned that children and elderly people are more vulnerable during extreme heat conditions. Residents have been asked to stay hydrated, wear protective clothing, and avoid direct exposure to sunlight for long periods. Authorities stressed that taking preventive measures can help reduce heat related health problems during the ongoing weather conditions.

While Telangana continues to experience rising temperatures, parts of Andhra Pradesh may witness a different weather pattern over the next few days. Light rainfall is expected in districts such as Manyam, Alluri, and Kurnool, offering temporary relief from the intense summer heat.

Weather officials also warned about the possibility of thunderstorms and lightning in some areas. Farmers and people working in open fields were advised to remain alert during changing weather conditions. Scattered showers are also likely in parts of Anantapur and Chittoor districts, bringing slightly cooler temperatures to those regions.
