CM Revanth Reddy Plans Young India Sports University to Develop Telangana as Global Sports Hub

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has initiated a major plan to strengthen sports infrastructure in the state by proposing the establishment of the Young India Sports University. The move aims to transform Telangana into a prominent international sports hub.
During a high level review meeting held at his residence in Jubilee Hills the Chief Minister discussed the future roadmap for the sports sector with senior officials. He emphasized the importance of developing strong sports infrastructure that can produce athletes capable of winning medals at global events such as the Olympics.
As part of the plan officials have been directed to prepare the Young India Sports University project with world class training facilities. The university is expected to serve as a center for advanced sports training research and athlete development.
The Chief Minister also instructed authorities to redevelop the Gachibowli stadium with international standards. The proposed plan includes construction of indoor and outdoor stadiums along with a full university complex modern hostels and specialized training centers for different sports.
Revanth Reddy reviewed several architectural designs related to the project and said the facilities should be capable of hosting major international sporting events in the future including the Olympics and Commonwealth Games.
Apart from Gachibowli stadium the government also plans to modernize other important sports venues in Hyderabad. These include the LB stadium Kotla Vijayabhaskar Reddy stadium and the Saroor Nagar indoor stadium.
Officials believe the initiative will significantly improve sports infrastructure in the state and create opportunities for young athletes to train at world class facilities. The Young India Sports University is expected to play a key role in nurturing future sports talent from Telangana.
