The Cyberabad Commissionerate completed 23 years , marking the milestone with a special programme at its headquarters. The occasion signaled the commissionerate entry into its 24th year of policing one of the fastest growing urban regions in the country.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner Ramesh Reddy hoisted the national flag and addressed officers, reflecting on the changing nature of crime. He said cybercrime cases are increasing every day and have become one of the most challenging aspects of modern policing. He added, International drug networks, are also emerging as a serious obstacle to social development.

The Commissioner noted that Cyberabad has earned recognition not only at the national level but also internationally for its policing standards. However, he expressed concern over the steady rise in road accidents, pointing out that fatalities due to traffic incidents now exceed deaths seen in many conflict situations.

Highlighting the commissionerate role in maintaining law and order, he said Cyberabad protects a population that includes lakhs of migrants who come to the city for livelihood. Ensuring their safety, he stressed, remains a constant responsibility for the police force.

Ramesh Reddy also underlined that key sectors such as IT, pharma and real estate are largely concentrated within the Cyberabad limits, making security preparedness critical for economic stability. He recalled that nine commissioners served before him and said he plans to meet them soon to seek suggestions for the future development of the commissionerate.

As Cyberabad Commissionerate steps into a new year, officials say the focus will remain on tackling evolving crimes while strengthening public safety and trust in a rapidly expanding urban landscape.
