Government Doctor Dies In Car And School Bus Collision Near Kalwakurthy

A government doctor working in Kalwakurthy lost his life after a car collided with a private school bus on the Raichur Kodada national highway on Saturday morning.

A tragic road accident near Kalwakurthy claimed the life of a government doctor on Saturday morning after the car he was travelling in collided with a private school bus. The incident occurred near CBM College on the Raichur Kodada national highway.

The deceased was identified as Dr Vijay Kumar, aged 43, who had been serving at the government hospital in Kalwakurthy for the past three years. According to police officials, he suffered severe injuries in the crash and was immediately shifted to a private hospital in the town. Despite treatment, doctors could not save him.

Police said Vijay Kumar was returning home after visiting the Vande Mataram Foundation premises near the town for his morning exercise routine when the accident took place. The collision between the car and the school bus caused serious damage, leaving the doctor critically injured.

The body was later shifted to the Kalwakurthy Government Hospital for postmortem examination. The incident has left the local medical community in deep shock, with several doctors and hospital staff expressing grief over his sudden death.

Originally from Makthal town in Narayanpet district, Vijay Kumar was known among colleagues and patients for his service in the government healthcare sector. He is survived by his wife Yashwanth Rani, who is also a doctor, and their two children.

Police have begun an investigation into the accident and are examining the circumstances that led to the collision.
