A CRPF jawan from Hyderabad died while on duty in Jammu and Kashmir, officials confirmed on Tuesday. The incident took place at the Zainapora CRPF camp in Shopian district, where the officer was posted as a head constable.

The deceased has been identified as Surinder Singh, who was serving with the Central Reserve Police Force in the sensitive region. According to officials, he suddenly lost consciousness while carrying out his duties at the camp.

Fellow personnel and officers immediately shifted him to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. However, doctors reportedly declared him dead upon arrival.

Authorities later registered a case and started an investigation to determine the exact reason behind his sudden death. Officials said further details would emerge after medical and departmental inquiries are completed.

The news of the jawan’s death has caused grief among family members and colleagues. Security officials are coordinating with concerned departments for further formalities related to the incident.
