Hyderabad is set for a major infrastructure boost as Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced plans to construct four elevated corridors around the city to tackle growing traffic congestion and improve connectivity.

Speaking in the Legislative Council on March 23, the Chief Minister highlighted the daily struggles faced by commuters, especially those trying to travel from the city to outer areas. He pointed out that long travel distances combined with heavy traffic have become a persistent issue for residents.

To address this, the government has prepared a strategic plan focusing on future traffic demands and urban expansion. The proposed elevated corridors aim to provide seamless movement without traffic signals, allowing commuters to exit the city more efficiently.

According to the plan, four key locations have been identified for the construction of these corridors. The routes will be developed near Gowliguda Junction, Chaderghat Junction, Nagole, and Amberpet Junction. These points have been chosen to create direct connectivity from the city to outer regions.

The Chief Minister also emphasized that the project would require minimal land acquisition, making it easier to execute compared to traditional road expansion projects. This approach is expected to speed up construction while reducing disruptions.

Once completed, the elevated corridors are expected to significantly reduce congestion within the city and improve travel times. The project will also enhance connectivity towards the Outer Ring Road and Regional Ring Road, supporting Hyderabad’s rapid growth and future development plans.

With increasing vehicle numbers and expanding urban limits, the government believes this initiative will play a crucial role in transforming Hyderabad’s traffic management and infrastructure landscape.
