A gruesome murder case has come to light in Hyderabad’s Neredmet area where a daily wage labourer allegedly killed his co worker and hid the body inside a wall built inside a rented house.

The disturbing incident surfaced months later after new tenants noticed a foul smell coming from a suspicious structure inside the room and alerted the police.

According to investigators, the accused identified as Mallesham and the victim Venkataramulu were both working as daily wage labourers. Police said the two men reportedly consumed alcohol together before an argument broke out between them.

During the quarrel, Venkataramulu allegedly made insulting remarks about Mallesham’s wife, leading to a heated confrontation. Police stated that Mallesham became furious over the comments and allegedly attacked the victim, resulting in his death.

After the murder, the accused reportedly panicked and feared getting caught while trying to move the body outside the house. To avoid suspicion, he allegedly placed the body in one corner of the kitchen and constructed a small brick wall around it using cement and construction material.

Investigators said the accused also tried to prevent the smell from spreading outside the room. He continued staying in the house for a few more days before locking the room and disappearing from the area.

Several months later, the house owner reportedly rented the room to new tenants after Mallesham failed to return. While cleaning the property, the tenants became suspicious about the unusual wall structure and noticed a strong foul smell coming from it.

Police teams reached the location and broke open the wall during the investigation. Officers later recovered the skeletal remains of Venkataramulu from inside the concealed structure.

The shocking discovery created panic among local residents in the Neredmet area. Police confirmed that the accused Mallesham has now been taken into custody and further investigation into the case is continuing.
