In a move aimed at faster grievance redressal, HYDRA has rolled out a new public outreach initiative for Hyderabad residents, strengthening its direct engagement with citizens.

Under the new system, people living within the Outer Ring Road limits can register complaints through a dedicated phone in programme held every Saturday. Officials said the initiative is designed to ensure quicker action on issues related to public land protection and civic violations.

The phone in programme will begin from February 7 and will be held weekly between 12 pm and 1 pm. During this hour, citizens will get an opportunity to speak directly with the HYDRA Commissioner and senior officials regarding their concerns.

HYDRA has earned recognition for safeguarding thousands of acres of government land, including parks lakes and public utility spaces. Through this initiative, residents can report fresh encroachments, illegal dumping in water bodies and misuse of public spaces.

Officials also clarified that callers can seek updates on previously submitted complaints that remain unresolved. Dedicated phone numbers have been activated to ensure smooth access and timely follow up, reinforcing HYDRA’s focus on accountability and public trust.
