IAS Transfers in Telangana See Major Administrative Reshuffle Across Districts

Telangana government ordered a large scale IAS transfer involving forty five officers with new district collectors and senior officials posted to key departments as part of an administrative overhaul.

The Telangana government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle, transferring a total of 45 IAS officers across departments and districts. The orders were issued on Thursday morning, marking one of the largest bureaucratic reassignments in recent times.

Several districts have received new collectors as part of the exercise, while senior officers have been moved to key policy making and administrative roles. The reshuffle aims to strengthen governance and improve coordination across departments at both state and district levels.

Rahul Bojja has been appointed as Principal Secretary of the General Administration Department and has also been given additional charge of the Backward Classes Welfare Department. Sanjay Kumar has been posted as Special Chief Secretary of Panchayat Raj, while Dana Kishore will handle Disaster Management and Revenue as Special Chief Secretary.

The government also reassigned officers to important roles in finance planning endowments public grievance redressal and welfare departments. Multiple collectors were shifted across districts including Karimnagar, Rajanna Sircilla, Medak, Mahabubnagar, Hanumakonda and Bhadradri Kothagudem.

Officials said the transfers are intended to bring administrative balance and inject fresh leadership into district governance. With these changes, the government expects improved service delivery and more efficient implementation of development and welfare programmes.
