A tragic incident in Markapuram has drawn statewide attention after a young teacher died by suicide, reportedly due to harassment and blackmail. The case has raised serious concerns over the emotional toll of personal threats and social pressure.

The victim, a 24 year old teacher from Ayyavaripalli village in Pamur mandal of Prakasam district, was found dead after taking the extreme step. Before ending her life, she reportedly wrote a message on her hand asking her father to take care, a detail that has left locals deeply moved.

Initial police investigation suggests that harassment by a man identified as Sheikh Nagoor Basha may have played a key role in the incident. According to officials, the two were known to each other, but the teacher distanced herself after learning that he was already married.
