What was meant to be a memorable wedding anniversary celebration for a family ended in unimaginable sorrow after a young medical student lost his life in a tragic road accident near Cheryal in Siddipet district. The heartbreaking incident left family members and villagers in deep shock.
The deceased was identified as twenty year old Sri Sahith, a first year MBBS student studying at a private medical college in Siddipet. He belonged to Mallapur village in Cheryal mandal, while his family currently resides in Aler town of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district.
Sri Sahith’s parents Sarala and Madhusudan work as teachers and had high hopes for their elder son, who dreamed of serving society through medicine. Family members said the young student wanted to surprise his parents on their wedding anniversary by reaching home without informing them in advance.
According to reports, Sri Sahith started his journey from college along with his friends Akshay and Raghava on Saturday night. They were traveling toward Aler on a motorcycle when the accident occurred near the outskirts of Cheryal town.
Police believe the riders failed to notice a speed breaker on the road. The bike reportedly lost balance after hitting the speed breaker at high speed and later crashed into a road divider. The impact of the collision caused severe head injuries to Sri Sahith, who died on the spot.
His two friends who were traveling with him suffered serious injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital by local residents for treatment. The tragic news spread quickly and left relatives and villagers devastated.
After postmortem formalities, Sri Sahith’s body was handed over to family members on Sunday morning. Emotional scenes unfolded during the final rites held in Mallapur village as relatives, friends, and locals gathered to pay their last respects to the young student whose promising future ended too soon.
