Rajagopal Reddy has left the Congress party for their own development, not people: Shabbir

Hyderabad, Aug.3 (UNI): Former Minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir said that Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy was changing the party for his own development and not for the development of the people of Telangana or Munugode. Addressing a press conference in Kamareddy DCC Office on Wednesday, Shabbir Ali said that Rajagopal Reddy had meetings with BJP National President JP Nadda and other leaders at a time when Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi were summoned by the Enforcement Directorate and the entire party was protesting against the harassment. He said Rajagopal Reddy got an identity and fortune only due to the Congress party.

He said Rajagopal Reddy enjoyed several positions in the Congress party and must introspect on the reasons being given by him to change the party. Shabbir Ali said that Rajagopal Reddy’s family got recognition and reputation due to the Congress party and not vice-versa. Referring to Rajagopal Reddy’s admission that he had met Home Minister Amit Shah several times in the past, Shabbir Ali said that the Munugode MLA has admitted to acting like a BJP’s covert in the Congress party while getting big contracts in return from the BJP-ruled States.

The Congress leader condemned Rajagopal Reddy for his criticism of TPCC President A. Revanth Reddy. He said senior leaders who had served the Congress party for over 30 years are working under the leadership of Revanth Reddy without any issues. He said that it was Congress High Command who made Revanth Reddy the TPCC President and it is the duty of all Congress leaders and workers to respect the decision. He said when Komatireddy Venkat Reddy was aspiring to become the TPCC President, Rajagopal Reddy approached him and called his elder brother mentally unsound. He said Rajagopal Reddy himself proposed that Revanth Reddy.
