A shocking crime in Telangana’s Rangareddy district has left residents disturbed after a man allegedly murdered his wife and abandoned their young daughter beside the body.

The incident came to light when locals passing through a deserted area early in the morning heard a child crying. On reaching the spot, they found a woman lying lifeless in a pool of blood, with a toddler sitting beside her, unaware of what had happened.

Police later identified the victim as Shobharani, a 31 year old woman from Rangareddyguda village in Devunipalli mandal. Her personal life had been troubled, as she had separated from her first husband and later married Narsimhulu from Koyilkonda. The couple had a young daughter together.

According to officials, Narsimhulu had been addicted to alcohol and frequently harassed his wife. Due to ongoing issues, Shobharani had been staying with her parents along with her children for the past six months.

Investigators believe the crime was pre planned. The accused reportedly called Shobharani under the pretext of buying a bicycle for her son and asked her to come to Shadnagar. However, he did not meet her there.

Later, Shobharani set out again with her daughter, during which Narsimhulu picked her up on a bike and took her to an isolated location. There, he allegedly attacked her with a stone and killed her before fleeing the scene.

In a disturbing detail, the accused left the two year old child beside the body. The child reportedly remained there through the night, calling out to her mother, unaware of her death.

Police have registered a case and shifted the body for postmortem. A search operation is underway to trace the accused, while the incident has sparked outrage and grief in the local community.

The case highlights the growing concern over domestic violence and the need for stronger protection mechanisms to prevent such tragedies.
