Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday reviewed the progress of the Bagirath case registered at Pet Basheerabad police station and directed officials to accelerate the investigation without any further delay.
During discussions with Director General of Police C V Anand, the Chief Minister reportedly questioned why no major progress had been made despite the complaint being lodged several days ago. He stressed that sensitive cases should be handled promptly to maintain public confidence.
Senior police officials explained that extensive deployment for the Prime Minister’s Telangana visit had occupied a large section of the police force in recent days. The DGP also briefed the Chief Minister on the present status of the case and the steps taken so far.
After hearing the explanation, Revanth Reddy instructed the police department to create dedicated investigation teams and ensure the inquiry moves forward at a faster pace. He also emphasized that the investigation should be conducted in a transparent and professional manner.
Officials are now expected to intensify the probe and coordinate across departments to gather all necessary evidence connected to the case.
