Revanth Reddy Says Congress Government at Centre Is His Main Goal

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has outlined his long term political roadmap, saying his immediate responsibility is to strengthen Congress in Telangana and continue serving the state until 2034. He said his larger political objective is to help the Congress party return to power at the Centre under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership.

Speaking during a media interaction, Revanth Reddy expressed confidence that Congress would once again form the Union government in the coming years. He stated that Rahul Gandhi would be projected as the Prime Ministerial face of the INDIA alliance in future Lok Sabha elections.

The Chief Minister said he intends to remain active in Telangana politics for another decade before shifting his attention towards national politics. According to him, the next generation of leaders would be given opportunities in the state while he takes up a larger responsibility at the national level.

Revanth Reddy also spoke about his relationship with the Gandhi family and said he earned their confidence within a short period after joining Congress. He mentioned Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra while reflecting on his political growth within the party.

During the discussion, he recalled his time in the Telugu Desam Party led by N. Chandrababu Naidu. Revanth Reddy said he personally informed Chandrababu Naidu before exiting the party and maintained cordial relations despite political differences.

The Telangana Chief Minister added that politics has changed rapidly and people now expect faster governance and immediate delivery of promises. He said the INDIA alliance plans to present a clear governance and development agenda before the country and seek public support on national issues.

Revanth Reddy further said his government would continue focusing on Telangana’s growth and increasing the state’s contribution to the national economy while Congress works towards expanding its influence across the country.
