A serious road accident occurred in Adilabad district after an RTC bus plunged from a bridge near Shyampur village in Utnur mandal. The incident left passengers shaken and resulted in multiple injuries.

Officials said the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation bus was carrying around twenty five passengers at the time of the accident. When the bus fell from the bridge, passengers screamed in fear as the vehicle came to a sudden halt below.

Police and emergency teams rushed to the spot immediately after receiving information. Rescue operations were launched without delay, and the injured were shifted to the Utnur hospital for medical care. Doctors confirmed that the driver and several passengers sustained injuries, though none are reported to be in critical condition.

Eyewitnesses said the scene was chaotic for a few minutes as passengers tried to escape from the damaged bus. Locals also joined rescue efforts until officials arrived.

Police have registered a case and begun an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Authorities are examining whether driver negligence, road conditions or technical issues led to the bus losing control on the bridge.
